I am building CISSP As An Art course.
I have produced 50+ videos for Domain 1 and 2.
Something felt wrong.
It wasn’t about time but the end product.
My workflow didn’t include the script.
I was often record things that aren’t related to topic.
My 2024-2025 creation flow was:
- Outline episodes
- Prepare Canva slides and import to Remarkable2
- Present Remarkable2 screen and start recording via OBS studio.
- I would doodle/ write or annotate on Remarkable2 slide while recording
- Edit in Da Vinci Resolve
This flow had multiple issues.
I was doing four things at once: speaking, presenting, drawing and thinking.
That too without a script.
I had to decentralize my approach.
First thing I decided not to use my Remarkable2 tablet.
Second, I decided to leverage AI to make consistent artwork.
My Canva slides had enough pointers and graphics to generate the artwork.
Third, I introduced the script for tighter control for narration.
Forth, I decided to annotate directly into the editing suit.
I shipped three episodes of CISSP As An Art Domain 3 – Watch 1st episode on YouTube channel.
The video duration is reduced by 50%.
The flaw became seamless and to the point.
It looks like a polished product with visual components and minimal annotation.
Here’s my revised flow in 2026:
- Outline episodes
- Prepare script from Canva slide
- Research and validate the technical accuracy
- Generate artwork from chatGPT based on my sketch ideas
- Record only audio with cadence
- Bring my audio WAV file and artwork to Da Vinci Resolve
- Edit and annotate directly into Da Vinci Resolve using Fusion – I bought XPPen Artist 3rd Gen
- Export a final product
Lessons Learned:
- Multi-tasking does work but it’s not effective
- Decentralize creative process and execute as separate layers
- Put more effort in script and less effort on video effects/ annotation
- Start with something. Reinvention comes on the way.
