Learning is Not Frozen Pie

Real learning is not a frozen pie.
Prompting, copying and pasting from AI is like eating a frozen pie.

I often wonder when I see so many frozen foods in the supermarket, especially pies and pizza.

Who would be buying those?
Perhaps people who don’t have time to cook.

It made me think that real learning works similarly.
It’s easy to prompt any AI tool to gather information, but it does not build your own perspective.

The ready-made answer from AI is like eating a frozen pie.
It tastes good, but there is a difference.

You don’t need to ignore AI, but it’s sensible to heat the pie and look under the hood before you eat.

The best approach I practise is to dissect AI’s answers (from multiple engines) and reverse-engineer to form my custom understanding.

Real learning is like cooking at home.
You get the necessary ingredients, recipe and process with timing.

It’s slow, prone to many errors and boring.

The slow-burning activity that unfolds over the course of days, months and years. It compounds.

The ready-made pie may look beautiful from the outside, but a homemade recipe with average looks has authenticity.
