Life is film. Film is life.

Death, Perspective

684 Months To Live

An average person has 962 months to live.

That’s 80 years and few months.

Remaining months compare to years seem like less time to live.

For example, I am 43 and look forward to live a healthy life of 100 years.

I still have 57 years to live.

A long life is ahead of me.

It’s also true that I only have 684 months remaining.

Now, I have such a short life.

A month, as an integer is a winner against year in mathematical comparison.

But mathematics in our mind work in a different way.

We have in-built conversion where one year is 12 months.

The perspective change when you shift countdown from once a year to monthly.

My mind multiplies 57 years with 12 but never gives me the result.

So, it creates an illusion that I always have lot of time.

But I don’t.

Time feels even less when I calculate remaining number of days.

I have only 20520 days.

Now the countdown is daily.

Our time is limited.

The illusion of more time is due to unknown multiplication.
