A cybercriminal group has breached 190 GB of confidential code for Samsung and distributed it via Torrent.
Samsung’s initial investigation confirmed that the breach belongs to the operation of the Galaxy device, not customer or employee’s private information.
The data exfiltration targeted the Samsung account’s source code for authentication and authorization. It also includes biometric unlock algorithms and server source code.
The kicker of the entire episode is that the cyber gang didn’t ask for ransomware. They are interested in being known for Data Extortion.
