The Principle of Least Privilege

The principle of least privilege (PoLP) is Zero Trust’s first pillar. It’s about granting only required access to subjects to perform a necessary function.

From a Zero Trust perspective, all network traffic is untrusted. Therefore,  it’s crucial to give the right access at the right time to only those who need it.

It’s important to note that privilege refers to permission and right in this principle.
