No other musical instrument has fascinated me to learn and play as much as the guitar. However, I was overwhelmed with too many online videos and tutorials. So, I invest a lot of time in hand-picking and curating the best and most practical resources for beginners learning guitar.

I hope you find it useful.

This page regularly updates me on my progress, approach, and cover songs.

Hurting Fingers = Develop Calluses

Don’t start your journey to learn guitar if you are not committed to getting your fingers hurt for a month.

Stop reading and find something else.

It’s as simple as that. Period.

The bad news is you have to feel the pain every day for a month. The good news is that you won’t feel a thing after a month.

Educate yourself and learn the science of how your finger develops Calluses.

Thumb Position + Posture + Wrist Pain

Finger pain will go away, but not your wrist pain. You can damage your wrist in the long term if you don’t correct how to hold the guitar properly.

Start with this article for practical tips on preventing wrist pain from bad guitar technique.

After two weeks of practice, I realised my thumb position was incorrect. I had to unlearn and relearn. It was painful, but do not start anything unless you know the correct thumb position and posture (check below video)

Stretching Finger + Spider Exercise

Don’t be in a hurry to play guitar. The exercises below are my ritual before playing anything on the guitar. It’s mandatory to start with practice with the workshops below.
