I was a fast walker.
My wife had to slow jog to match my speed.
I never paid attention to my speed until I came across one of Osho’s discourse.
He stressed slow walking that would calm the thoughts.
I realised it wasn’t me who was walking fast.
It was chaos in my mind.
My physical expression was just a manifestation of what was happening inside my head.
I changed my pace since then.
Slow walking leads to still mind.
And still mind leads to slow walking.
They are interdependent.
The slow speed opened my surrounding.
I started seeing many things on the way that I never observed.
Trees. Shops. Graffiti walls.
It feels good.
It’s like stopping the time.
I say to myself to slow down when feel overwhelmed.
I want to apply for other aspects in life.
I don’t want to rush.
Talk slow.
Eat slow.
Take time to make love.
Read slow.
Write slow.
Take time to reply email or text.
Think slow.
Breathe slow.
