Flood-prood BCP

Two hours of reading to understand the difference between Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) gave me an insight into comic art.

BCP is a wide lens.
DR is a zoom lens.

BCP means continuing to serve the customers from a food truck if there is a fire in the restaurant.
DR means calling the firefighters, fixing the stove, and cleaning the smoke and damage.

BCP without DR is a vision without a mission.
DR without BCP is a mission without a vision.

BCP is a strategy.
DR is an action.

Strategy and action are not separate.
They complement each other.

BCP means the show must go on, even on a different stage or city.
DR means fixing anything wrong with the stage.

I have created CISSP As An Art Comic. (slide to right)
The manager is relaxed after the BCP strategy, but has no idea what will happen to the BCP without DR.

In my CISSP world, every concept is a story, art, or visual. Join the CISSP As An Art (CaaART) tribe, the first visual-only CISSP course.
